A9 switches to Windows Live

A9 is now powered by Microsoft’s Windows Live, having previously been using Google.

This at a time when Google is angry with Microsoft for using the newly introduced embedded search module to point to MSN as default, and arguing that changing this default is cumbersome. I may be wrong, but I thought that Google has the same luxury with the similar module in Firefox, and I have no idea how to change the default.

Many stones will be thrown at Google in the near future, and Google will be returning many of these with equal force. It will be an interesting time in the search market, as Yahoo!, Google and Microsoft go head-to-head, with other players like Amazon putting in their two cents for good measure.
