Photocopier status

Whenever I’m the first to use the photocopier of a morning, I’m always unsure whether to believe the status messages it provides me in advance of being ready to do the job at hand. Yesterday morning, I patiently waited for while the print quality was being automatically adjusted, for my benefit I can only hope. I’m glad it was automatic, as I wouldn’t have known where to start if it had asked me to adjust the print quality. Usually however, the machine’s busy calibrating, something I wish it could do on its own time.

I find the weak point for a copier is toner, and that you can warn them that Daddy won’t give them toner if they don’t comply.

Talking to a Microsoft XP device is no longer the buzz it used to be, whereas talking to a Multi-Function Printer can be far more eclectic.

If all else fails, then forcing a paperjam can asset the dominion you hold over the device.

I find it odd when people say “of a morning”. In the same way I would find it odd if someone said “of a Tuesday” if there was a particular event specific to a Tuesday. Anyway I think ‘of’ should be replaced with ‘on’. Commentson a postcard, ( Does anyone ever use postcards anymore?)
