Lewd

You rarely see the word lewd in the news. The word is used in the BBC’s aftermath reporting of the Ross/Brand voicemail to Andrew Sachs. The last time I can remember it was in reference to Hugh Grant’s engagement in a lewd act with Divine Brown in 1995. In reading the story, Michael Buerke always managed to make it into a two syllable word.
